Welcome to Sachi Stitches for the BearHugs4U 2026 Spring Show

As an Australian living in Germany for 7 years, i find inspiration from art, nature, movies I love, places I have been fortunate enough to visit and people who have inspired me. All my creations are hand sewn and each stitch comes from the heart.

I use a variety of fabrics including, mohair, viscose, mini bear fur and ultra suede. All my bears are made from my own patterns,  fully jointed with cotter pins and discs and filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate.

Nemo

Nemo is hand sewn in a fawn sparkly mini bear fur, has ultra suede paws, black agate eyes and a hand embroidered nose. Nemo is filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate and is wearing the sweetest orange shoes which match the hand knitted orange shrug and is decorated with a beautiful starfish charm.

Scarlet

Scarlet is hand sewn in red curly Steiff Schülte mohair, is fully jointed has black agate eyes and a hand embroidered nose.
Sitting at 6 cm, Scarlet is filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate and has suede paws.

Scarlet is wearing a tiny gold coloured heart charm on the finest gold coloured chain and has a matching organza ribbon around her neck.

Mira

Lavender

Lavender is hand sewn in a dusky purple sparse mohair, is fully jointed, with hand embroidered pastel shaded ultra suede feet, and has black agate eyes.
Sitting at 9 cm ( not including the wired ears ) , Lavender is filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate and has horse hair whiskers. Lavender is wearing a wood carrot and has a green organza ribbon .

Sirius is hand sewn is golden Steiff Schülte mohair, is fully jointed, has German black glass eyes and a hand embroidered nose. Sitting at 9 cm, Sirius is filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate and has gold ultra suede paws.

Sirius is wearing a hand sewn fully lined mustard linen jacket with 2 tiny star buttons and has a Swarovski gold star tied across the body.

Griffin

Griffin is hand sewn in a dark chocolate mini bear fur, is fully jointed, and has pastel shaded taupe ultra suede paws. Sitting at 9 cm, Griffin is filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate, has a lightly waxed hand embroidered nose and black agate eyes.
Griffin is wearing a pale blue hand knitted (by me) cabled jumper and a pale coffee silk ribbon.
Whilst Griffin can be gently handled, it is best to keep him away from very small hands.

Wednesday

Dark and mysterious creepy night.
Pumpkin masks shining bright.
Scary monsters, witches' brew.
Trick or treat, you have to choose.

Some dark stranger knocking at my door.
Is he the devil? I'm not too sure.
All I can see is his silhouette.
I've never believed in ghosts, yet still I sweat.

Wednesday is hand sewn in a very black German viscose, has black ultra suede paws, German black glass eyes and a lightly waxed hand embroidered nose.
Sitting at 8 cm, Wednesday is filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate and is fully jointed.
Ready for trick or treating, Wednesday is wearing her red and black linen bat wings which are decorated with silver and black spinner charms.

Havanna

Havanna Is inspired by the famous hippo ballet scene ‘Dance of the Hours’ in the movie Fantasia.
Hand sewn from cream mini bear fur, Havanna has black ultra suede feet, cream ultra suede ears and tail, is fully jointed and has black onyx bead eyes and nose. Filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate, Havanna sits at 8 cm.
Havanna has a black polka dot organza tutu with a tiny diamonte button at the back and is wearing a black and diamonte ballet shoe charm on a thin black organza ribbon.
Havanna can be gently handled however it is best to keep her away from small hands.

Sakamoto

12 cm / 4.7 inches

Sakamoto is created in honour of Ryuichi Sakamoto, a Japanese musician, composer, keyboardist, record producer, singer and actor. The movie ‘Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence’ saw him debut as an actor and a film score composer. He went on to create film scores for ‘The Last Emperor’ for which he won an Academy Award and continuing his success creating film scores for ‘The Sheltering Sky’, ‘Little Buddha’ , ‘The Revenant’ and also composed music for the Opening Ceremony of the 1992 Summer Olympic Games. Sadly he passed away in 2023 from cancer at only 71 years of age.

Sakamoto is hand sewn in Steiff Schülte viscose, is fully jointed, has German black glass eyes and suede paws. Filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate, Sakamoto has a hand embroidered nose and is able to stand.
Wearing his black framed glasses, Sakamoto is wearing a mens kimono from Japanese fabric, hand sewn by me also and has a hand made tiny blue tassle.
Whilst Sakamoto can be gently handled, he is a collectible, not meant for small hands.

Black Pearl

Inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Black Pearl is hand sewn from short pile Steiff Schülte mohair, is fully jointed, has German black glass eyes, hand embroidered ultra suede paws and a hand embroidered nose. Sitting at 6 cm, Black Pearl is filled with cotton fill and mineral granulate and is wearing 3 real 6 mm fresh water black pearls.
Whilst Black Pearl can be gently handled, it is best to keep away from very small hands.
